Time Multiplexed Optical-OFDMA for Uplink Transmission in LiFi-based IoT Networks

The transfer of data from multiple internet things (IoT) devices requires the use a robust and efficient access (MA) solution. This paper considers orthogonal frequency division MA (OFDMA) technique for light-fidelity (LiFi)-based IoT uplink using infrared to transmit mobile users fixed point. conventional schemes based on allocate distinct subcarriers each user sharing same time slot. We consider new approach by allocating slots group OFDMA users. Taking into account realistic opto-electronic components, we study performance proposed optical-OFDMA schemes. show that asymmetrically clipped signaling scheme outperforms direct current biased in terms electrical power efficiency. Focusing signaling, demonstrate robustness our multiplexed against interference caused signal clipping. also advantages reducing computational complexity factor 2 compared schemes.
